Accomplishments as of April 2006

Just wanna share with you my accomplishments on my one week leave in the office for my wedding preps. Hmmm... not much but at least nagkaroon ng konting linaw hehehe.

April 24, 2006, Monday
Went to my dentist for some adjustments on my braces. I'm planning to take it off before my wedding day kaya super tutok si Dra. Baditz sa teeth ko ngayon.

After that we went to Gateway Mall, para magpalamig kasi its super duper hot kaya sa labas (and Jason's car has no tint at all kaya mainit talaga). Hinanap namin yung Suarez Wedding rings. We really don't have plans on getting our rings kaso when we learned na initial deposit of 1,000 lang ang kailangan for the rings eh namili na kami ng design. We got ours for ... secret... below 20k naman yun. And its a simple two toned ring. Nagandahan kami sa kanya. Nung una may design pang nalalaman tong si Jason eh. Nung nalaman niya na walang mold for the design he wanted and it will cost him additional charges, kinalimutan na niya yung design at pinili na yung meron sila. Hahaha G.I. kasi si Jason eh. hihihihi!

Tapos we went to Windmills and Rainforest to pay the 30% downpayment for the lock up price. So we went muna sa Papemelroti.
Kaso wala sila sample Wedding Invitation sa Roces Branch. It's cheap and simple. Very personalized. nagustuhan namin siya ni Jason. For 100 pcs of one-page invite (with envelope) cost 1,720 ... oh di ba ang saya? kung may second page pa like sa entourage list etc... just add 1,520 for 100 pcs. Ang galing di ba? Nag-eemail na ako ngayon sa papemelroti. Madami pa ako questions sa kanila eh. I'm also planning to get them for our thank you cards and "just married" tarpauline. Meron silang two designs na kailangan pa namin pagpilian eh. hmmm... ano kaya?

Balik nanaman kami ng Windmills. Pinatanggal na naim yung sa cake since we're planning to get a minicake tree. Then we paid the 30% downpayment na. All in all 50% na nadownpayment namin sa Windmills. At least di ba medyo ok na kami dun.

April 25, 2006 ... Tuesday

We went to Ms. Emily Uy of Sugarbox in Sta. Cruz. Saka sabi niya I look like Jolina Magdangal daw ... hahaha si Ms. Emily talaga oh. On with the cake tasting. She made 4 designs for our 75 pcs minicake. Silang dalawa ni Jason nag-conceptualize ng color. While me just eating the last pieces of the cake (takaw ko grabe!). Since Jason is an Architect and I'm an Architecture graduate din, she said yung groom topper naka-hard hat. Already paid the 50% downpayment.

Then we went to Ysabelle Fashions. First week of May pa siya babalik ng Pinas. Eh surely nasa Laoag na ako nun kaya I texted her na I'll meet her before May ends.

After that we went to SM Manila to meet Mr. Rex Rosario of Flora@eleven_01 for our entourage flowers. He quote us na pasok sa budget. Ang dami pang freebies. We paid our downpayment and booked him. And since we're the first to booked him for October, may free services pa hanggang church, dadagdagan daw nila yung flower arrangements ng church pag medyo kulang sa dating yung arrangement ng Twin Hearts.

April 25, 2006 ... Wednesday

My MOH and cousin, Bing, and I went to Quiapo to buy materials for our ceremonial cord, accents for our pens, wishes inserted on our cake and kissing bells.

Pumasok kami at inquire kami on the wedding packages. 20k ang wedding package niya. Then I asked kung entourage lang, sabi ni Mr. Willie So ibibigay nalang daw niya sa akin ranging from 1,500 to 2k per gown. Walang pareho.

Nagpunta na kami ng Divisoria to buy the kissing bells. I only bought 75 pieces. Wait nalang for the photos ng DIY namin ni insan.

Goodbye Max...

In loving memory of Max
I learned about the sad news today. Our dear 11 month old labrador pet Max died in a hit-and-run accident. I was crying when dad and mom called me about this. My kuya was actually the one who brought him to the hospital. The doctor said he only have 2 hours to live. Popoy, our golden retriever dog was so sad, searching where Max is. My kuya never left him and I think he have an idea already where Max is. Uuwi pa naman ako ng Manila this weekend... and hindi ko manlang nakasama si Max ...

We'll surely gonna miss you! Goodbye, dear friend!

Blue Lagoon, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Yesterday, Dad and Mom along with my brother Lloyd and my Amore Jason came from Manila for a vacation. My grandma was teasing me that I'm very very happy daw kasi nandito na si Jason. Ahihihihi kilig... wala naman kami ginawa kundi kumain at matulog. Nasa iisang kwarto lang kami. Si Dad at Mom nasa kama while my bro, me and Jason sa sahig magkatabi. O ang saya di ba? super bonding hihihi!

Yesterday, we went up North of Ilocos Norte. Pagudpud is known to be "Boracay of the North" because of the beautiful beaches and white sand.

We went to Blue Lagoon, Pagudpud ... nope we didn't swim ... naglaro lang kami ... yes naglaro lang kami ng kapatid ko, mga pinsan ko at ni Jason hihihihi! We arrived in Blue Lagoon at 6:00 a.m. and the place doesn't look good in photos. Good thing I had some shots of it last year. I took this at around 10:00 a.m. I got it from my photo collections. It is a hidden bay found at Maira-ira Point, which is a half-moon in shape edifice, by the Nacatnagan Cliff in the east and the Dos Hermanos in the north. This place is where you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Reaching the place is quite tiresome for it is around 2.5o kilometers away from the highway with rigged roads and it is found at the interior part of Sitio Malingay. On the way is thick forest and you can also have glance of the sea. Malingay Cove is famous for its crystal blue water and fine white sand.

Original plan talaga Mag-pe-prenups kami dito along with my photo hobbyist friend Dennis.

Is it too obvious Jason loves the place so much? May dala siyang Dragonball ... joke hehehe! Oh and that's Sebastian, the crab.

" Kaya ayan hehehe!

Patapat Falls

I must say mas nag-enjoy kami dito. Malamig yung tubig as in super cold ... kuha ka ng water from the fridge, ganun kalamig. If you have migraine, I'm sure matatanggal pag naligo ka dito. Hehehehe!

Nung nakita ni Jason to, ayaw na niyang umalis. Umaakap na siya sa mga bato. I took this shots again last year hehehe! obvious ba hindi ako nag-swimming last year ang dami kong kuha ng place eh.

Patapat Bridge

This shot was taken last year when we first got here in Laoag. The shots we took was not that good so I got some from my photo collection.

FYI from www.pagudpud.gov.ph:

Patapat bridge is a winding bridge found at the foot of the cliff of the North Cordillera Mountain Ranges. It connects Barangay Balaoi and Pancian and it is around 1.2 kilometers long. This bridge is often referred to as the “French Riviera of the North”. Along the bridge, you can pass the Mabugabog Falls that serves as a source of power for the mini hydroelectric plant. It is only during the rainy days when it shows its splendor with its water dropping rhythmically to precipice on the rocky shore of the sea below. While at the middle of the bridge, you could take a look at the amazing view of the sea and the luxuriant mountains that is 200 meters above sea level. The bridge itself is a superb craft of men and the fabulous sceneries that surrounds it makes it really a breathtaking to behold.

Now this is me and Jason on that bridge. Shot taken by my cousin and my bro. May shots din sila of course. Kasi an hour before di pa masyado blue ang sky and di pa din masyado green ang paligid.

That's Mom and Dad ...

That's my mega healthy brother dear hehehe! Panay ang pose kasi ini-inggit niya yung girlfriend niya na suppose to be kasama din sa trip kaso di pinayagan ng mommy niya.

That's me with cousin Nurse Rema and my pasaway cousin Fuji, na super duper nahilo sa zigzag road ... buti nalang di siya nag-throw up yung car kundi lagot siya kay dad hahaha!

Bangui Bay Wind Farm

Towering on a strip of shoreline along the Bangui bay here are 15 wind turbines that have started generating "clean power" under the Philippine's first wind farm feeding an initial 7 megawatts, equivalent to 40 percent of Ilocos Norte's power requirement. Also a first in South East Asia, the Philippine wind power plant is composed of 15 wind turbines with a hub height of 70 meters and 41meter rotor blades having an installed capacity of 25 MW. Lahat ng houses papuntang windmill lahat naka Dream Cable. Sosy sila ha hehehe! Ang init ng buhangin as in. Di ka pwede mag-barefoot. Pero malamig dito kasi nga may windmill eh. The best time to go here is early morning or late afternoon. Saka may isa pa kami pupuntahan eh.

Burgos Lighthouse

Based on historical records, Cape Bojeador was built on March 31, 1892—which now makes the structure 114 years old presently. Aside from being one of the oldest intact structures, it is also considered to be the tallest lighthouse in the country. We don't have much photos in this place because its super duper hot. And ang daming tao nagpunta.

Rules for a Happy Marriage

got this fromwww.weddingdetails.com

Rules for a Happy Marriage
  1. Never both be angry at the same time.
  2. Never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.
  3. If one of you HAS to win an argument, let it be your mate.
  4. If you have to criticize, do it lovingly.
  5. Never bring up mistakes of the past.
  6. Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
  7. Never go to sleep with an argument unsettled.
  8. At least once every day try to say one kind or complimentary thing to your life's partner.
  9. When you have done something wrong, be ready to admit it and ask for forgiveness.
  10. It takes two to make a quarrel, and the one in the wrong is the one who does the most talking.

Made in Heaven

And here's another one... susme! Nagiging corny na ata ako at pa-baduy ng pabaduy hahahaha! Penge po ng MP3 nito please!

Made in Heaven
by: Saling Ket feat. Rey Valera
Verse1
Verse2
Chorus:
Ummmm.. pagmamahal (pagmamahal)
Na made in heaven
Ummmm.. pagmamahal (pagmamahal)
Na made in heaven

Pang Habangbuhay

I'm looking for an MP3 of this song. I always hear this every hour at i-FM Laoag. Baduy ng station ba? No choice eh, what do i expect hahaha! Pero nice song I'm telling you.

Pang Habangbuhay
by: Saling Ket feat. Rey Valera
Verse:
Sana pagtanda ko, kasama kita
Laging kapiling sa lungkot at saya
Maaari bang maglambing sa'yo?
At sabihn ang nasa puso ko?
Minsan ay nangangambang
Baka iwanan mo
Chorus:
REPEAT ALL

This Side Up: Kape, sisig, yosi at ikaw

A friend sent this through e-mail. I asked her who wrote the article. She forgot daw pero ang source is from www.peyups.com ... Again hindi po ganito ang love story namin ni Jason pero we are in the same state ... "parang kami pero hindi" before we became a couple. I just want to share it with you.

Kape
We started over coffee, sabi ng isang kanta. At doon nga tayo nagsimula – sa kape. Niyaya mo akong magkape isang hapon. Over cappuccino, nagkuwentuhan tayo. Kung anu-ano lang. Mababaw. Malalim. May kwenta. Wala.

Sisig
Pork sisig ang inorder ko the first time we had lunch together.

They complement each other.

He’s bad for your health.”

***

How can something so wrong feel so right? It felt so good it seemed right…

Oo, masaya tayo kapag magkasama.

Wedding Vow: To write or not to write one ...

I know a lot of people saw the wedding of Claudine Baretto and Raymart Santiago. Everybody was moved by their wedding vows, which is of course, written by them. I found an article on how to write your wedding vows. Here's some tips:

Original Wedding Vows - Written by You!
Would you like to write your own original wedding vows? Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and the vows you speak to your future husband or wife are some of the most significant words you'll ever say in your lifetime. Sometimes traditional wedding vows don't say what you really feel. It's easier than you think to learn how to write your own original wedding vows.

One way to get started might be to sit down and write a letter to one another about what your love and relationship mean to one another. Once you have completed this, switch papers and underline any phrases that have particular meaning to you. These ideas can be a starting point for writing your original wedding vows. Think back to the many memories you shared that had special meaning to your relationship. What feelings did these special times evoke? Make sure to include these in your letter to each other as these can spark ideas for beautiful, memorable and original wedding vows.

It may also help to ask each other questions such as:

What is that I love most about my future spouse? Why?
What makes our relationship different and special?
What role does religion play in our relationship? This may help you to decide whether you'd like to include biblical verses in your vows.
What first attracted you to your future spouse?
What are your most important shared memories?
When did you first say "I love you"?
How long does your relationship go back? Do you have shared childhood memories that be important to put into your vows?
What are your most important future goals as a couple?
What are your favorite songs and poems?

Now that you have your ideas on paper, you might want to start preparing your first rough draft. Remember this will be your ROUGH draft so feel free to let you creativity flow with ideas. You'll be modifying what you've written later. This is a time for free association and free sharing of ideas.

When you're ready to do your revised and final drafts and feel like you might need more guidance and assistance you might want to consider help from this site which can give you more information on how to write your own original wedding vows:

I love Saturdays ...

I love Saturdays... Saturdays is when me and Jason have what we call "quality time". Even when I was still working in Manila, Saturday is the best time for us to cuddle each other, have food trips, do our shopping, watched movies, and even go out with friends.

But it has been a year now that we don't get much og our time together since I got here in Laoag. I go home in Manila once a month. I only have three days to stay and that time meant quality time not only for him, but also for my family.

I had the chance to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, The Witch and teh Wardrobe. It's really a kid movie, with moral lessons and all that. It talks about family, the relationship of siblings to one another, the true meaning of sacrifice. It talks about LOVE. There were scenes that made me cry, call me a weirdo, but I did.

Maybe I got emotional because I miss my family a lot. I grew up really close to my brothers & my parents as well. And this is the first time I live far away from them. Tha's why its so hard for me.

I was thinking lately... I sent out a text message to my Dad. I know he's thinking about it and hoping he'll consider my idea.

I want to go home na!
