Gifts and more

Actually, as I write this post ... more gifts and noche buena baskets for Dad spread all over the sala (hindi na under the tree hahaha) ... came from different parts of the Philippines. I'm waiting for the spicy vinegar from Negros Occidental ... mukhang hindi yun ang ibibigay ni Cong. Cojuangco ngayon hehehe. There were also boxes of pears, oranges, grapes, fruit cocktails, and all-purpose cream. There's a styro full of different kinds of fish (coz Dad's been eating it for 2 years already), and also some goodies from Pampanga's Best. Not to forget ... boxes of red wines, too.

This year, some gifts under our tree are from Jason's suppliers. It's always like this every Christmas. Actually, we are so blessed that we don't have to do the groceries for our Noche Buena, because it's already here at home. Tons of Noche Buena basket to fill even my birthday and Medya Noche.

Actually, nakikisali na sa paramihan ng gifts ang kapatid kong bunso, coz he have some in this tree as well from his officemates. Grabe, high EQ sila, they're going to open the gifts on Christmas day pa. My mom would wonder nalang bakit lahat ng basket may butas na. Not to mention ... my so adorable baby is always ecstatic whenever she's near the tree because of these gifts.

Ako, I never have too many gifts eversince I was born. Even hubby doesn't give me gifts anymore hehehe unless I asked for it. Ganun na ata talaga ang tumatanda.

Like I said ... hindi na ako umaasa pero if ever matanggap ko yung gusto kong camera bago matapos ang taon na ito, who cares kung wala ako matanggap na gift before! I got my family, hubby and Janna ... what else can you ask for?

Twilight Movie Date

Hubby and I made our last minute Christmas shopping for our inaanak yesterday. Since we are very early, there's not much people lining up the cashiers. But their are lots of people on cue at the gift wrapping section. I told hubby that will just buy gift wrappers and I'll be the one to wrap it.

After that, we ate lunch and headed to the cinema to watch Twilight. I've been keeping my excitement to Jason since he doesn't know that it's was a love story type of movie ...

Finally ... after waiting for almost a month ... napanood ko na din ang Twilight whoopee!

I love the movie from the start till the end. But a little disappointed that some great stuffs from the book didn't come out of the movie. My favorite scenes were Bella and Edward would have their time alone sitting up on trees .. grabe ... wish hubby and I can do that, too. Love it when Edward and Bella look at each others eyes ... it's so romantic. Like hubby said, "Parang Harry Potter naman yung Twilight" hmmm ... seems like somebody didn't like it hahaha!

I also ask hubby, "Labs, ano di mo naintindihan sa Twilight, tanong mo sa akin at sasagutin ko." and he said, "Labs naman, bat di mo sinabi na love story pala yun" hahaha! As if I told him, would he still watch it with me? I don't think so wahahaha!

Harry Potter Movie Trailer

Here's what I got from You Tube a while ago. The latest movie trailer of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Hmmm ... 1 year and 2 months old na si Janna nun, ma-aappreciate kaya niya kung isasama namin siya manood ng movie?

Coffee Break ver. 1.48

The first Christmas carol I've learned when I was a child is Sa May Bahay ang Aming Bati. I think every kid in the Philippines learned to sing this carol very well because whenever there were kids singing their carols from house to house, this is the first song they'll sing...
Sa may bahay, ang aming bati
Merry Christmas' na maluwalhati
Ang pag-ibig ang siyang naghari
Araw-araw ay magiging Paskong lagi

CHORUS:
Ang sanhi po ng pagparito
Hihingi po ng aginaldo
Kung sakali't kami'y perwisyo
Pasensiya na pagka't kami'y namamasko

Then they will follow it with the song Noche Buena ... hahaha kabisado eh no?

Kay sigla ng gabi
Ang lahat ay kay saya
Nagluto ang Ate
Ng manok na tinola
Sa bahay ng Kuya
Ay mayroong litsonan pa
Ang bawat tahanan
May handang iba't iba

Tayo na giliw
Magsalo na tayo
Mayro'n na tayong tinapay at keso
Di ba Noche Buena
Sa gabing ito
At bukas ay araw ng Pasko.

And end it up with... thank you, thank you, thank you Merry Christmas po thank you!

A Diaper bag

Since I don't have anything to blog about, I opt to blog about the diaper bag I bought for a friend for her baby shower, which we missed because Janna was confined in the hospital that time. And since we still have the gift here at home ... I think I'm going the blew up the surprise. At least she'll know that she won't have to purchase a diaper bag anymore. Hi Hazel hehehe! Just pretend you haven't read my post ok? And when you receive the gift, pretend you are surprised pa rin hahaha!

Before buying this bag, I asked my fellow N@wie, Morning, if she have stocks of Baby Couture bags for a baby girl. She told me that she only have stocks for baby boys ... all bags are in blue hehehe. So I thought, I'll just buy it at the mall. But since I don't have time to shop, I gave Sophie and Andie a try since they have a purple color for a diaper bag. Purple is Hazel's fave color hihihi. I texted fellow N@Wie Rhea, if the color is still available. And she said yes, and gave me a 20% discount for the bag. Nice thing about it is she delivered it right through our doorstep. Too bad, we were in the hospital when she went to our house. I haven't met her in person pa kasi hihihi. There will be next time, I suppose, di ba sis?

It comes with a changing mat and purse. It has lots of compartment for all your baby needs. I so love it.

I love the color yellow diaper bag hehehe. Unless may magreregalo hehehe. The best thing about Sophie and Andie eh gawang Pinoy ito! Kaya grab yourself one of these. I'm sure you'll gonna love it as well.

I gave up...

... hoping to watch Twilight even before the MMFF starts. I'm sure hubby is more interested on watching Iskul Bukol The Reunion rathern than Twilight. Oh Edward Cullen, I'll just see you on DVD.

... wishing on receiving my super grand wish this Christmas ... the Canon 450D EOS is now officially out of my wishlist. It hurts a bit but I can't wish so hard for it, masyado ko inasam that I could have it before the year ends. As if ... yung 450D nga malabo ko makuha, yun pa kayang higher model tsk!

... trying to lose weight ... but I'll try again next year hehehehe.

... making kulit hubby to buy me this and to buy me that ... napag-isip ko bibilhin ko nalang agad tapos saka na ako makikipag-argue. Sounds selfish no? hahaha! Joke lang labs ... para lang ibili mo na ako nung Crocs since yung Twilight books naman eh meron ng parating, you don't have to buy me the whole book set.

Coffee Break ver. 1.47

One of the happiest childhood memory of Christmas I had was when Dad and Mom would take us to Cubao to watch the moving Christmas display at COD. We'll be there by 5:00 p.m., eat an early dinner at Tropical Hut (wala pa masyado Jollibee that time hehehe!) and then we'll wait in line so that we'll have the best spot to watch the show.

I also love the effort of my mom and dad to give the presents we wanted from Santa Claus. From the time we're at home after hearing mass, we will find our gifts tucked under the tree and says that's from Santa ... but I wonder how come he have the same penmanship like Dads hihihi.

Click to play Janna @ 7 months
Create your own scrapbook - Powered by Smilebox

Milestones @ 7 months:
  1. Can now say "Ma-ma" for Mommy, ma-mam for water, didi for milk
  2. Can now crawl (grabe ang bilis!)
  3. Can sit down on her own. She practiced while she's in the hospital. By the time we went home, pag hiniga na namin siya ... she sits from her side tapos tinutukod niya yung isang hand niya bago maka-sit up straight.
  4. Can now cling on the edge of her crib. She's now starting to practice to stand up by grabbing on to handles of her crib. We're planning to lower her crib na kasi baka matuto na tumayo bigla sumampa sa crib at mahulog siya.
  5. Is now eating solid foods. Her pedia advised us to let her eat a teaspoon per feeding. But she can eat a tablespoonful already ... twice or thrice a day yun ha. Next week she will start to eat fruits.
  6. Mastered the use of her walker. Before she walks sideways, but now she walks straight. The best thing of all is that she never slides at all, she walks as if she's walking without a walker.
  7. Poses and smiles at the camera when you say "Posing!"
  8. We started putting on shoes while she uses her walker.
  9. She now weighs 6.8 kg. and 7o cm. in height.
  10. Starting to make "beautiful eyes" when she laughs.
  11. Whenever she holds something, when you say "give", she'll give it to you back ... except when she's holding the remote control and our cellphone hehehe.
  12. Knows how to wave goodbye. Learned it after her hand was free of dextrose.
  13. Knows how to kiss mommy and daddy, with matching hawak pa both hands sa cheek yun ha.
  14. Loves to play thumping on anything that is shaped like a box. We're planning to buy her a toy drum set for Christmas hehehe.
  15. Doesn't like drinking in a sippy cup but rather drinks water from a glass.
  16. Obeys when we say, "Come here, Janna!" or we say "No!"
  17. She can now recognize faces and names of the people around her.

I Love the Christmas Season ...

... but I also have reasons why I hate it in some ways.

During this season, my allergies are always present. Tomorrow, I'm going to attend a friends wedding, but here I am, too many allergies on my face, I can't put too much make up to cover it because it will only irritate it. So I have to deal with it, project with a smile and never worry I have redness on my face. Even I've took my antihistamine meds for a week, I'm still not allergy free ... kainis! Goodluck to me.

I always have asthma attack especially during dawn. It's what I call "ma-plemang Pasko" ... sounds ewwww but that's it.

Robbed out ... during the Christmas season, we are always robbed out of money due to Christmas shopping and gift giving. Oh well, that's one of the essence of Christmas ... give love on Christmas Day hihihi.

After Christmas, I will be another day older, coz my birthday falls on the 30th. So before the year ends, I'll be 31 years young. Sissshhh! My biological clock is already ticking ... I wonder when will Jason plans on having another baby? All I know is NOT now but next time or soon ... but not now.

Janna's Traumatic Hospital Experience

Night of Saturday, Nov. 29, Janna has early signs of cough and colds. I gave her NSS, nebulize every 6 hours para hindi na magtuloy-tuloy yung sipon at ubo.

Nov. 30, we went to FEU hospital's Pay Treatment Room to have a check on Janna, since her pedia's clinic schedule will be on Tuesday pa. The resident pedia told us that it's a simple cough and cold. The reason why she's crying when coughing is because her colds is dripping down her throat that makes it very itchy. Janna's pedia told us to have 1.5ml salbutamol and 0.5ml NSS to be nebulize every 6 hours.

Dec.1, she's doing ok but her cough is getting worst. And there are signs of asthma already because of the wheezing sounds. But still we continue what's precribed for her and she's still active like before. The night came, and she's having a hard time breathing. We went to the ER already because she's having fever, cough and colds already.

Dawn of Dec. 2, she's still in the ER under observation. She was given higher dose of salbutamol to lessen the wheezing. The ER Pedia doctor told us that she will be admitted already. Siyempre Janna became so uncomfortable, she's crying a lot na.

Then after that umakyat na kami. Janna slept on my chest the whole time dahil ayaw nya magpabitiw. Awang-awa na ako sa kanya pero I have to be strong for her or else magiging helpless din siya pag nakita niya kami na umiiyak.

Hindi nila ako pinapasok sa kwarto, I was outside the room waiting for them. It was such a horrible scene. I could hear Janna crying a lot.

The nurses asked for a diaper to cover her hands para daw di magalaw ni Janna yung IV. Kaso pull-up diapers yung dala ko that time so hindi pwede.

Noon time ng Dec. 2 extraction of blood naman. This time allowed na ako to stay sa room. Hahahaha!

Dra. Ong told us, according to her X-ray and blood test, it's viral pneumonia. And we all thought it's just plain asthma attack. Good thing we decided to take her to the hospital.

Nebulize every 4 hours for the 1st day.

4th day, ayun every 8 hours nalang ang nebulize niya, to continue na at home.

I'm sure she missed her crib and she missed the house. And I'm sure she missed the people around her, kaya at home she's comfortable na.

You'll never know kung ano sakit makuha nila sa ibang tao outside your home.
