LP: Sapatos

Ito ay sapatos ng aking anak nung araw ng kanyang binyag. Naisip kong kunan ang kanyang sapatos na katabi ang mga larawan niya. Kuha ko ito noog Hulyo ng 2008. Napaka-ganda nito sa paa niya at hindi siya nagrereklamo kapag suot niya ito. Binili namin ito ng aking asawa sapagkat
naisip namin na bagay ito sa damit na binili ng kanyang lola para sa espesyal na araw na yun.

Ating sulyapan ang mga sapatos ng ibang miyembro dito.

Questions of the Week #51

1. How’s the week going on so far? Tiring, we've been having a lot of guest from the province. Dad's siblings are working on their papers for immigration. And since summer hits Manila, it's been an uncomfy week for us especially Janna.

2. Would you rather love or be loved? I would rather have both. I always take equal share on things.

3. How do you feel when you hear a friend completely butchering a story? I do what other's say ... pasok sa isang tenga, labas sa kabila. And I would probably change the topic coz I won't stand a chance hearing another word from him/her.

4. If you could have a recorder which would make a DVD or video tape of your dreams, would you use it? Oh yes I would.

5. Have you ever had a dream about being a place you’ve never been, and days or years later, you end up there? Not really, but I sometimes have a de ja vu thing whenever I go to a place for the first time.

6. Do you sit at your computer and eat snacks and have refreshments to drink? I never eat snacks in front of my computer, but I always have my Starbucks mug with me. I've been drinking lots of water and juices this past few days because of the heat.

7. Which is more true: everything matters or nothing matters? Everything matters

8. What was the last thing you gave up on? I gave up on thinking how to lose weight.

9. Can the love of a person really make you change? Of course

10. Any plans for the weekend yet? Hubby and I will hit the mall this weekend to pay some bills and buy some stuffs for Janna's DIY party needs. I think I need to do it before May comes.

Summer is really here

Yes ... because it's so freaking hot! Even if you turn on the airconditioner, you really can't bear the humid and all.

I've been bathing Janna twice or thrice a day. I can see she seems so irritated especially in the afternoon. Thank God Janna is a waterbaby. She loves taking a bath. She even loves the shower lately. And at night, she can't bear the humid so we don't have a choice but to turn on the a/c. Good luck to our electric bill hehehe.

We are now beginning to worry about Janna's party. If the weather will be like this until May, it would be so uncomfortable for the adults and the kids. We are thinking about renting a tent or renting a humidifier or mist maker. Kaso the problem is ... magkano?

Does anybody know where we can rent a humidifier? Sana mura lang :(

Books again!

I got this books from Chie on her online bookstore. It's been my addiction lately to buy second hand but still in good conditon. Actually, a lot of books are piling up and shouting "read me! read me!" already.

I haven't gone to a doctor, but I think I'm having astigmatism again. Everytime I attempt to read a book, my eyes sometimes became blurry ... and it always giving me a headache when I'm reading. Even when I'm using the computer.

My God, tumatanda na nga ako ... lumalabo na mga mata ko. Susmiyo, wag naman sana. Ang hirap mag-drive when you're wearing glasses (I'm talking as if I'm driving everyday wahahaha).

MM: Siblings / Cousins Bonding

Janna is my first born but she always have bonding time with her cousin, Elay. They were only 3 months apart, so they both explore on things differently. Elay is on the crawling stage, while Janna is already cruising. Sometimes Janna gets irritated when Elay doesn't respond to Janna the way she wants her to do. They sometimes ended up crying. I just hope they'll get over that stage ... anyway, they're still to young.

I wished that they grow up as close like real sisters. And I wish the grannies stop comparing them with each other for them not to compete with each other on getting attentions with the people around them.

LP: Paboritong Alahas

Hindi naman talaga ako mahilig gumamit ng alahas . Mas gusto ko isuot yung mga yari sa beads. Hindi din ako mahilig magsuot ng singsing at kwintas. Pero nung ibinigay sa akin ito ng aking asawa nung hindi pa kami kinakasal, lagi ko na siya sinusuot kung san man ako pumunta. Ito kasi ang engagement ring na binigay niya sa akin. Hindi naman kailangan maging diamond ang isang engagement ring di ba?

At siyempre nung kami ay ikinasal na, eto ang naging paborito kong alahas ... ang aming wedding ring.

Palagi ko sila sinusuot lalo na pag may espesyal na okasyon. Ngunit kung kami lang ay lalabas para pumunta ng mall o pupunta ng construction site si mister, eto ang sinusuot namin mag-asawa:

Ito ay gawa sa silver lamang. Hindi kasi kumportable si mister na gamitin ang wedding ring niya pag nagtatrabaho siya sa site.

Alamin natin ang mga paboritong alahas ng ibang miyembro dito.

Questions of the Week #50

1. Is it fun being you? Oh yes, if not then what is my life for?

2. What have you changed your mind about in the past few weeks? Well, it's not really a big thing but I always wanted to buy a tankini for our summer getaway in Laoag ... but changed my mind I would buy myself a new pair of shades instead ... I want the big shades like Ruffa Gutierrez uses.

3. Do you find yourself in a better mood on a sunny day? Yup, but not the whole day ... I love it when it rains in the afternoon coz I can't bare the heat during the afternoon.

4. When meeting someone new, what makes you feel more comfortable? When she/he is looking forward to have a good conversation with me than looking at me from head to toe as if I'm the fattest, ugliest person in the world.

5. If you could be any god or goddess from mythology, who would you be? & why? Aphrodite, coz I wanna know how it feels to be loved by so many men hahaha.

6. How do you spend the night before a “big” day? Usually pamper myself with a visit to the salon having my foot scrubbed, manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows sculpt. If time and money permits, I go for an hour of full body massage so that I could sleep relaxed.

7. Describe the person that would be the exact opposite of what you find attractive. Boring to begin with, no common interest, lousy dresser, and feeling maganda!

8. I would be a happier person if… I could have a business to take care of, for my husband to stay with me until the day I die, and for my Janna (and my future kids) to finish college and land a good job and marry someone that would take care of them when they get old.

9. Have you ever regretted? So far, none yet!

Kikayness

After going to the Bridal Factory to pick up our gowns, we went to Fairview Centermall to buy milk formula for Elay and her month birthday cake na rin. As we are going to Red Ribbon, we saw this store called Zulit. Everything in it ranges from 29.00 and up. SIL and I can't get rid of our eyes on the accessories. Here's some of what I got from there.

The bracelets only cost 49.00. I bought two coz I'm a bracelet/bangle person. I was eyeing also for the heart shaped bracelet, but I didn't like the color. The first one looks like a bangle when worn. And the brown one was chosen by SIL ... kasi bagay daw sa akin.

And guess how much this fancy eternity rings cost ... it's only 29.00 pesos. And I got 4 of it hahaha!

After buying all these, kuya told me, "Hindi kayo pwede magsama ni Annie pag nag-shopping ... ubos pera kayo eh!" SIL looked at me and we laughed.

Loots

There are still a few good people around us ... and I was one of the few who felt their warmth and kindness to someone they haven't met. Remember when I made a rant here in my blog about Janna's party. This person read all about it and we've exchanging a few PM's in Multiply.

After a few weeks, I got these stuffs from her...

To you, a very nice and pretty fairy ... thank you for the gifts. I'm sure the kids will gonna love it. And if you don't mind me keeping some for Janna as well. They are so cute kasi.

Julianna Alyssa @ 10 months old

Julianna Alyssa's milestone at 10 months old

1. Loves taking her vitamins. Before, I have to put it on her food or milk just to make her get to take her vitamins everyday.
2. She now eats solid food 3 times a day, and now eating two tablespoons per meal.
3. Doesn't use her walker that much, she loves to climb on things for her to stand up.
4. And she can now cruise around the house particularly in her crib and in the sala.
5. She already learned how to clap her hands.
6. New words she's been uttering this past few days: Bab-ba - for Bobby (our mini pin), dey - for there, Pay-pay or Pay - for Popoy (our retriever dog)
7. Loves to see our dogs and flowers.
8. When she's having difficult time sleeping, all you have to do is comb her hair.
9. She'll make kilig when you say kilig-kilig to her.
10. Learned how to drink to a sippy cup.
11. Loves fruit juice and water.
12. Swims for the first time in an inflatable pool. And she love it!
13. Super mega bigtime drooler!
14. She loves eating super mega small bite sizes of bread during merienda.
15. Little by little, she's trying to socialize especially with toddlers and kids.

MM: Sleeping Time

Janna's sleeping habits are now getting better. She sleeps all by herself and sleeps through the night. She would sleep at 10:00pm and wakes up at 8:00am. My mom doesn't want me taking Janna's pictures while she's sleeping ... I don't know why but it something to do with kasabihan ng matatanda. But sometimes, I can't help but capture her sleep time moments coz I feel she's so cute when she sleeps. Here are some of her latest sleeping moment photos.

This one was taken last week when my Mom put her in the umbroller and roam around the garden. Mom thought that she was just quiet and loving the umbroller ride, but when she took a peek on her, she already asleep! Look how big she is here, parang 2 years old a no?

This one was taken also a week ago when mom babysits for the two babies that day. They were put to sleep one at a time. And Janna sleept only for an hour while Elay slept for about 2 hours. They look so cute together ... look at the thighs ... sarap kagatin hahaha!

LP: Polo/Blusa

Nabili ko ang blusa na to para tulungan ang nobya ng kapatid ko na makaipon ng pambili ng cellphone. Since kailangan ko din naman bumili ng damit para sa akin dahil meron akong pupuntahan okasyon ay napabili na din ako, salamat sa aking kabiyak at binili niya ito para sa akin.

Pasilip naman sa inyong mga polo at blusa mga kapatid!

To Resize or not to Resize

Pumapayat din ba ang fingers mo pa nagpapayat ka? Kasi I made labing to hubs na pa-resize ko ug wedding ring ko kasi angsikip na ... it feels like maka-clogged yung blood sa ring finger ko ngayon pag sinusuot.

Hubby wanted na magpapayat daw muna ako bago ko daw pa-resize yung ring. Iniisip ko eh kailan pa ako papayat. Eh ano na gagamitin kong ring?

Si hubs talaga basta tinamaan ng kakuriputan, ang dami niyang dahilan. Hay buti nalang may money ko ... papa-resize ko na siya sa Suarez sa weekend so that makuha ko na in two weeks at magamit sa kasal ng tito ko hehehe.

Party Updates

We're done with the DP's ... cake, balloons, party host, photographer ... I'm now in negotiation with our caterer and loot box supplier. Invites is now ready but still waiting for the photos. My Tito Edwin came for a visit and nag-pictorial si Janna dito sa house. He's been into photography for 2 years now and covered a lot of weddings and prenups in Abu Dhabi ... but it was his first time last Sunday to try on child photography. Janna was a bit uncomfortable at first, but after that, she's already smiling and posing with all her hearts out.

Name tags and guestbook is still on queue ... I just wish I could have more time to finish it and orint it.

Still thinking of a mother's day gift to mom, hubs mom and SIL, kuya's wife. Hay ano kaya?

Yun nalang muna ... I'm not feeling well ... bigla sumakit likod ko arggghh!

1. Tell me, are you feeling lucky this week? As much as I wanted, too ... but no.

2. Are you good at figuring out when you just shouldn’t say anything? In some cases, yes!

7. Can you talk and type at the same time? Yup, but I do pause a lot when I'm typing and at the same time talking on the phone.

Paalam, Francis M.

Who wouldn't be a fan of Francis M., the master rapper.

SIL and I were eating our lunch when suddenly, Willie Revillame of Wowowee asked for a bit of silenced for a person in the industry who passed away this afternoon. And he said that it was, Francis M.

For all I thought, according to his blogs, he's in a good condition and gradually recovering from his sickness. His major operation was scheduled this month and unfortunately, it wasn't that successful.

In memory of Francis M., I got this video from youtube ... I think this commercial was out on t.v. after he announced publicly about his illness. This is a bit funny because of Ramon Bautista, but you'll definitly agree with me na walang kupas talaga si Francis M.

Paalam, idol! I'm sure you'll always be remembered! May you rest in peace.

MM: Bath Time

I'm so lazy to find Janna's first bath photo. Good thing she have her latest photo taking a bath with Elay (her cousin) and another photo opp a while ago when she took her bath this morning.

This was taken last Sunday. Since Elay is staying with us until Janna's 10th month birthday next week, the granny wanted the two babies to take their bath together. This is Janna's first time to bath in a "batya". She have her own bath tub, but last Sunday, we tried her giving a bath on it. She did enjoy it but she wants to be in Elay's tub than hers ... magkasing-size lang naman sila.

She really loves taking a bath especially nowadays that the weather is so hot and humid. She now takes a bath twice a day just to cool her off. And she also have skin asthma, allergic to her own sweat. There's no other way to cure it but to take a bath and wash off her sweat from her body. And of course, a good baby powder to prevent rashes.

LP: Bag

Mahilig talaga ako sa bag. Isa ito sa namana ko sa aking ina. Hindi naman ako partikular sa brand o kung ano ang yari nito, basta pag gusto ko eh binibili ko. Ngunit nung ako'y naging isang simpleng maybahay na lamang at nagkaroon ng anak, natuwa ako sa mga modernong diaper bag na nabibili sa mall.

Tulad nitong bag na ito na regalo sa akin ng aking asawa nung Mother's Day. Ito ay bag mula sa Baby Couture. Hindi halatang diaper bag siya di ba? Madami siyang bulsa na pwede mong paglagyan ng kung ano-anong bagay na kailangan ng iyong anak sa tuwing kayo ay lalabas para mamasyal. Sa totoo lang, meron pa akong isang diaper bag na mas malaki dito.

Pero nung dumating ang aking tiyahin galing Amerika, ito ang isa sa aking pasalubong. Isang bag na pwede mo pagpalit-palitin ang panlabas na anyo nito. Gustong-gusto ko itong bag na ito ngunit hindi ko pa siya nagagamit, dahil madalas kasi na kasama ko lagi ang anak ko pag lumalabas kami kaya diaper bag lagi ang bitbit ko. Pero malapit ko na ito gamitin, siguro pag inaya ako ng date ng mahal kong asawa hehehe.

1. “So…do you want the good news or the bad news?” When someone asks you this, which one do you generally ask for first? I always prefer to hear the bad news first.

2. Do you remember compliments more than rude remarks or vice versa? Yup, but I never forget rude remarks either.

3. The main difference between you and your best friend is … I'm more of the extrovert and he is the introvert.

4. Have you ever given someone a fake phone number, just to get rid of them? Nope, coz I make sure that I always give my number to someone I wanted to get in touch with... always! I make some excuses for him/her not to ask me my number.

5. Do you find that there’s too much choice in your life? Oh yes, but if you learned to live a more simplier life, no matter how many choices there are, it will never be that confusing.

6. How would you describe your temper? I don't easily get mad, but if I do ... it's thrice of what you're thinking how mad I am.

7. Are you more likely to exaggerate or downplay your troubles? Nope

8. List 3 people-real or fictional, living or dead, famous or personal friends-whom you respect and admire, and why. Hmmm ... this is a toughie ...

• my Mom, coz before when she was a SAHM, she brought us up alone without any help with a yaya. Unlike me, it feels so difficult to handle things around the house without a household help. And her love is so unconditional.
• my Dad, who never fails to take care of us, good provider and good listener. I hope hubby will be the same like him. But I love hubs the way he is.
  
• Edward Cullen, for being the " Mr. Right" to every woman in the world.

9. Can you draw? Yah ... coz I have to or else, I won't finish college hahaha! It's part of what I do when I was still working. And until now, what we do for a living.

10. What do you need to work on? my body ... coz I've been neglecting my body eversince I got pregnant. I hate looking at myself in the mirror but I don't do anything about it. I feel so guilty.
