Baby J at 16 Weeks

This was taken a few days before I hit 16 weeks. Di pa masyado halata no?

I felt numbness on my back and butt.

On medication nanaman ako to get rid of pangangalay ng likod ...

A lot of people were trying to guess baby J's gender ... majority hula nila boy daw ... ayoko na tanungin kung bakit kasi baka isagot nila dahil ang pangit ko eh ma-depress lang ako wahahaha! Since malikot daw and di daw ako mapili sa pagkain or wala daw ako pinaglilihian eh baby boy nga daw ang baby ko.

Ako naman pag may humihimas eh kinakausap ko si baby, "that's tita Rema baby ... that's Lolo baby" mga ganun ... nakakatuwa ... bilbil palang hinihimas nila, what more kung talagang malaki na tummy ko hehehe.

According to babycenter.com, here is how baby J is growing:

At 4 1/2 inches long (head to bottom) and 3 1/2 ounces, your baby is about the size of an avocado. In the next three weeks, she'll go through a tremendous growth spurt, though, doubling her weight and adding inches to her length. Her lower limbs are much more developed now. Her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved toward the front of her head. Your baby's ears are close to their final position, too. Some of her more advanced body systems are working, including her circulatory system and urinary tract. Her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, circulating her total blood volume through her body many times. (By the end of your pregnancy, this will increase to about 190 quarts.) The patterning of her scalp has begun, though her hair isn't recognizable yet. Although closed, her eyes are moving (slowly), and she's even started growing toenails.
Baby J, 5 months to go ... sana wag ka masyado makulit kasi minsan nahihirapan si Mommy. Pero ok lang, at least I know you're active and strong kaya nararamdaman ka na ni Mommy. Daddy is so excited na. We're planning to buy you books sa floating bookstore para he'll start reading stories na for you. So excited!

A Wedding Kwento

I'm such a bad blogger ... sorry ha! Anyway, I've been to some special events this past few weeks. Share ko lang sa inyo. Nakakapagod for me pero worth it naman.

Oh before I forget, congrats to Irene and Val ... I know you've been waiting for this the whole time and I'm glad you're already pregnant. Have a safe pregnancy okay!

Last December 8, 2007 ... we attended one of the best weddings ever. Hazel is Ninang Elsie's daughter. Ninang Elsie is my mom's bestfriend. Tuwing may family gathering always present sila kaya kilala namin sila. When she started preparing for her wedding eh dun nag-start yung exchange ng email and text namin. Since I was the one who got married first, siyempre nagtatanong siya sa akin ng mga tips etc. etc. Brides talaga are so pretty on their wedding day. Hindi siya mukhang na-harass at na-stress... mega pretty siya on a Pepsi Herrera gown. Same as the groom ... gwapo si Elmer nung araw na yun. They are a perfect match made in heaven.

The Bride, Hazel

The couple doing their first dance

Church rites were held at Sta. Maria dela Strada, reception followed at the Mango Farm. Medyo malayo nga lang yung reception venue sa church pero it's all worth it I'm telling you. Maganda sa Mango Farm. Wala kami photos masyado dun since gabi na kasi kaya more on the reception itself ang mga nakunan namin hehehe.

As usual, mom and dad was one of the principal sponsors. Most likaeable ninong and ninang naman talaga sila mom eversince. Kumpleto kami nung wedding nila. Si Jason nga lang ang photographer dahil sa ako'y buntis, eh nakaupo lang ako at nanonood the whole time. Jason was such a darling... he made all the photo clicking! So proud of you, labs. You have to practice doing that kasi ikaw kukuha ng photo ni Baby J pag ipinanganak siya hehehe.

Mom wearing a gown from Ysabelle Fashions (Bridal Factory) and Dad wearing a Patis Tesoro Barong

Kuya Stanley and Butchoy

Of course, Jason and me ... ewwww pangit ng shot ko dito... I feel so ugly.

To Hazel and Elmer, Congratulations and Best Wishes. Stay happy and less worries ... God Bless you always mwah!

What's in my Wallet

I was tagged by Rhea. Now it's my turn to do this meme.

I've been using my Marithe Francois Girbaud wallet for about 5 years now. This was one of the stuffs I first bought for myself when I got my 2nd job. Madami pa akong ibang wallet, pero nothing beats her versatility and feel ko swerte siya sa akin kaya di ko siya pinapalitan.

Inside my wallet besides emergency cash (mga natitira sa intrega ni hubby hehehe) are the following:
  1. Identification Cards (Driver's License, Postal ID, BIR, my old company ID)
  2. Discount Cards (Tokyo Tokyo, Rustan's Fresh Card and Mercury Card)
  3. Picture (Jason and me, Grimace and me)
  5. ATM Cards
Now I'm tagging: Mai, Wella, Wanda, Cheryl, and Ibyang

Happy 1st Anniversary!

Credits:
Pretty Pink Kit by: Lindsay Jane Designs
Journal Strip by Misty Cato

Since I can't get out of the house just to buy an anniversary card for my only one love, I just forced my creative juices to come out and do a layout. This is the farthest thing I could come up as of this moment.

As an anniversary thingy ... I'll share again my entry of our love story I posted on our Wedding Announcer account.

This is my side of the story:

I was a fresh graduate then, applying for a job in Designtech Consultancy and Management. While waiting for the person in charge for my interview, I stayed at their receiving area just in front of the receptionist desk. Then a guy went inside to punch in his DTR card. He's smiling actually and I smiled back. The receptionist was teasing him that time and was about to make his attempt to tease her back when he stepped on something that almost tripped him down. The receptionist laugh so hard, and so did I ... not because natisod siya but because of the laughs they both shared with the incident.
Obviously, I got the job. After that, I was introduced to the whole staff. Heading to the Architectural Dept. where I would meet the person in-charge with me, the person who will sign my logbook for my board exams ... to my surprise ... was the same guy I laughed about that morning ... Oh no! He's my boss!

Arch. Jason D. Jamias, baby face (he was 25 then and I'm 22), very poised, looks serious. I didn't know at first we could get along. He's a jack of all trades, one hell of an alaskador. When he laughs nawawala mata niya. Everybody just loves him. An architect for four years already (after graduation, took the board exam and passed agad! galing ng baby ko), he really knows his craft. No wonder at that age, he handles that position.

As days went by, we became close. He was like a long lost friend. Opposites really attract. He's an introvert and I'm an extrovert. He wasn't just my boss, he became my bestfriend. Every lunch time, he never fails to give me a Tofiluk chocolate bar. He always walks me hanggang sa terminal ng jeep after office hours. He helpedme a lot when it comes to our field. How to master the CAD software, to know how to write BOQ's and the do's and don't of Specs. Writing. Even if work has filed up on him, he still takes time to answer my queries. Sometimes, he lets me checks errors in drawings so that it would be easier for him to revised it in the computer. We write each other through the use of Word Doc and save it in a diskette so we could read it at home. Lahat ng angst namin sa work nakalagay dun. Ang corny ba? Nah I don't think so. Knowing Jason, that's something sweet kasi wala sa personalidad niya yun.
He's courting somebody that time. I became his "ligaw" consultant. But little did he know, I became jealous of that girl everytime we talked about her. He even have a picture of her on his desktop. And kainis pa dun, some of our officemates tells me they thought it was me when viewd from afar ... heller??? mas maganda kaya ako dun?

As friends, I gathered all my guts for us to talked about our very complicated relationship. I don't want myself to be left hanging. I know there's something going on between us but we're both afraid we'll gonna lose the friendship if love will come our way. I didn't get the answer right away. Play safe siya kumbaga. My treatment towards him became cold. Phone calls became less, I tend to be more masungit and mataray towards him pero he's there pa rin and never left me.

One fine day, the moment was right but not the right place (literally, it is not the right place hahaha!), July 6, 2000, we became "us". I made my bestfriend the happiest person alive. I'm his first and he was my last. And for almost six years of being together... Finally, I'm going to marry my bestfriend.

And here's Jason side of the story:

I met Sheryl in our office at Designtech as a CAD operator. She saw me first having a blooper (what a nice way to see me at first time, hehehehe), I was tripped by a cabinet handle at our secretary’s table while she was sitting at the waiting area. Sheryl giggled at my blooper that time.

Actually I’m the supervisor of the Architectural division in our office, so I handle all the CAD operators including Sheryl. Sheryl just graduated in college when she started working; obviously she tends to ask me questions on how to do some drawings and advises how to simplify commands in AutoCAD program. We eat lunch sitting beside each other, share stories during lunch break, even exchange letters about our life, and accompany her to a jeepney terminal wherein she rides to get home. From thereon we developed a special friendship, and some of our officemates usually talks about our being so close with each other.

During that time I’m courting a girl named Nil, I usually asked Sheryl how to make my date memorable. Sheryl on the other hand had a crush with one of our CAD operators named Arnel, I got jealous when I knew that. Every after date I made, I share with her stories what had happened to my date. But some of the stories about my date are just made up, because I want to see her reactions if she will also get jealous. I think I got my purpose from doing that.

Then came the unexpected day, we had a general membership meeting at the UAP Capitol Chapter. Sheryl joined us to fix ourselves together with our friends Dex and Dax. A question that can never be answered by “NO”, I was asked by Dex, what’s the real thing between us, then Sheryl asked me the same question, I was silenced and answered...

WE’RE GETTING MARRIED ON OCTOBER 28, 2006. (did I answered the question?)
Enough of the mushy stuff... To my labs, I know words can't express how much I feel for you. I'm just thankful to God that we have survived the 1st year of our lives together and looking forward to the next coming years. And I know next year is the best anniversary we will gonna have because of the little angel that will be coming this May of 2008. Thank you for taking care of me coz I know I've been a pain in the neck lately due to pregnancy woes and all. I'm sure it would all be worth it. I love you so much! Happy Anniversary!

Baby "J" at 8 Weeks

Here's our baby's ultrasound at 8 weeks done last Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007:

First time I heard his/her heartbeat during ultrasound. Nakakatuwa!

Super liit pa niya no? Wonder what he/she look like on his/her next ultrasound hehehe!

The hemorrhage is still there but only a little of what I have 2 weeks ago. That means more bed rest again ... bawal matagtag. I will take Duphaston for a month ... grabe nagiging vitamins na namin ni Baby J yung Duphaston ah. 4 days ago nga pala, nag-blood spotting ako. I freaked out, actually iyak ako ng iyak ... natatakot kasi ako. So as Jason, nakita ko na namumula mata niya (mukhang umiyak). Eh anong magagawa ko, natatakot ako no! Complete bed rest ako that day. As in breakfast, lunch at dinner in bed. At wag ka.. may pizza pa for meryenda just to make me relax.

Yesterday, we went to an allergologist. I told OB that it's been a week that I've been having asthma attack. Hindi siya nawawala, it keeps on coming back. Kaya my OB referred me to Dra. Lim, a pediatrician and an allergologist. She explained to me sometimes asthma and other allergies are caused by hormonal changes during pregnancy. When she heard na medyo mabigat nga ang paghinga ko, she prescribed Bricanyl syrup, 1 tsp. every 6 hours round the clock! It's safe for the baby naman, actually pampakapit daw yun. Kaya yun ang binibigay nila sa mga buntis palagi who have asthma. Sa skin allergy naman, she told me to observe muna everything I eat. Because nag-va-vary daw ang allergic reactions sa food during pregnancy. The best solution is avoidance. I'll be coming back on Wednesday. Sana nga magwork na yung Bricanyl... ayoko din kasi mag-steroids coz it's bad for the baby. Sana ngayong first trimester lang to. Sana next trimester wala na.

Oh God help me!

First Sign of Life!

Credits: Federal QP by Anita Designs

According to Babycenter.com, I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My baby will be born on or around Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

According to Babystrology, my baby looks like this...

After I got the job two days ago, here's one good news naman. I haven't visited my OB yet but I already called her and told her the good news. I texted her when I was on my way home. I told her that I'm having this pangangasim ng tiyan and some pagduduwal even if I'm so busog. And there... POSITIVE! OB wanted to see me on Saturday to check if the baby's okay.

Again, Lord ... you're so good to us. Thanks so much for all the blessings!

Now the question is ... Will I'll still go to work or not? What do you think?

YM Chat

Today, I had one of the best conversations in my life. I've been laughing out hard and mega kamustahan to death to some old and new friends. Here's how my screen looks like a while ago.

You haven't seen it all yet. Kanina 8 windows yan na naka-cascade vertically. At wag ka, yung isang window dun eh conference yun. Some of my ka-bloggies from Wordpress eh hinila ako sa sa conference.

And Dennis naman eh first day niya sa Singapore. Dun na kasi siya magwowork and naiwan dito ang kanyang wifey and son. Medyo nalulungkot siya. Actually, naiiyak nga daw siya. Kaya as a friend kinausap ko nalang para mawala ang lungkot. Kaya ayoko nag-aabroad, madali ako ma-homesick. Baka di ko kayanin hehehe.

And there's Tintin, an ex-officemate from Laoag project. Kinamusta ko kasi nakita ko yung avatar niya yung 4 month old niyang baby girl. Super duper cute.

They're my fellow W@Wies din. Napag-usapan namin ni Mec sexy yung PCOS ko, while Jen is in Canada na pala at pregnant na ... (buti pa siya). Congrats to you Jen, so happy for you. And you too, Mec, next month na lalabas si baby Yakee! weeeee!

Hay life... nakakatuwa ang araw na ito. Sana palaging ganito :)

Random thingy...

I know I'm such a bad blogger. My blog is close to being a blogghorea ... I got the meaning of Blogorrhea from Jovi, a fellow WP Pinoy Blogger.

Blogorrhea - n. having nothing significant to write about so you just blog whatever just to make a post; meaningless ranting and raving on a blog.

Now gets mo na? I don't know if my blog is a good example of a bloggorrhea. If it is... who cares! Hahahaha! It's my blog, so you can't do anything about it.

So ano ba pwede kong ikuwento ngayon?

Jason is now close to being a sweet person. Last night, I was telling him that my back hurts a lot. And he tried to ease the pain by massaging it a little. This afternoon, I told him I wanted to eat pizza for lunch. And he did, he ordered pizza for me. Awwwww... so sweet!

My hair is dying I think ... it's too dry. I think it needs a hot oil treatment. Maybe I'll head up to the salon on Saturday to have it look good and shiny again. Hehehe! Was thinking of having it relaxed too ... kaso in October nalang bago pumunta ng Cebu.

Speaking of Cebu, Jason and I will go there to celebrate our first year anniversary as husband and wife. It's our first formal honeymoon actually. ason will be a having a convention in Cebu along with other fellow architects from United Architects of the Philippines. So excited to see Cebu and most excited on riding my first plane ride. Wahahaha ... oo first time kong sasakay ng plane kaya wag mo ako pagtawanan. Hehehe! Ang babaw ng kaligayahan ko talaga.

Was thinking of making lambing to my Dad to buy me a Canon 400D camera to make myself busy and learn and enhance my skills in photography. I wanted to enroll in a photography class para matutunan ang dapat matutunan. I'll stick to my point and shoot camera hehehe.
Hmmm... san kaya maganda pumunta sa Cebu? Any suggestions?

I realized...

... that no matter how good or nice you are, there are people who still brings the worst in you.

... that no matter how good you are, may mga taong gustong ilabas yung bad side mo para sila ang magmukhang mabuti sa iba.

... that you can never tell somebody that she/he is a good friend kung sa panahon na kailangan na kailangan mo siya eh hindi ka manlang niya tinatanong o tinatanaw kung ok ka pa ba o hindi.

... there's no such thing as bestfriend ... but a TRUE friend, meron!

Move on and love your life every single day.

Kasi lahat sila nowhere to be found ... o ako yung ayaw magpahanap? Oh well whatever ... wala sila pag kailangan ko.

Today I was scheduled to have my TVU with follicular monitoring. This isn't the first time I had my follicular monitoring. My first was last month. My OB told me to have it in FEU Hospital. And since it's only a 10 minute drive away from home, I agreed.

At first, akala namin konti lang ang patients. When I went up to the receptionist, she told me I'm patient no. 10 na daw and kakaumpisa palang ng procedure kay Patient no. 1. We paid for the procedure and waited for my turn. We were there at around 4:00pm.

At 5:00 p.m., Jason became a little bit cranky (mainipin kasi) already, asking bakit ang tagal daw. So I went inside to talk to some interns. They told me they're already with Patient no. 5. Lima nalang pala, so hinintay na namin.

So I did, and texted my OB na hindi na ako magpapa-ultrasound ever sa FEU. Super tagal ng services nila grabe! Naloloka ako. The first time I went there naman, na-late yung OB Sonologist ng 2 hours. So late na siya nag-procedure ... eh pang-number 14 ako nun. Buti nalang some of them already backed-out. Kaya naging pang-lima na ako. But this time, hindi ko na ma-take talaga. Sish!

Our Wedding Video

Finally, our wedding DVD has arrived in our doorstep last Friday Morning (Ang bilis talaga ng LBC). I paid our balance to Dan Pamintuan last Thursday thru bank.

I told myself that if I would feel the same emotions to what I've felt during our wedding day while watching this DVD, I'll give Dan a high supplier rating. Well, 95% of my emotions that day naramdaman ko while watching it. And when mom and dad watched it, naiyak ulit sila wahahaha! Dan, you're the man! Hahaha!

At first I didn't like the cover. Was expecting that he'll use a photo of me and Jason as bride and groom. He used the prenup shot from his cam ... pero ok naman sa akin. Importante yung laman. Madali palitan yung cover hehehe!

And kainis din nung medyo sa speech ng Dad ni Jason, there was this irritating static sound from a cellphone. I asked Dan bakit ganun. He said, yung isa daw sa guest namin na katabi nila nung kinukunan kami, yun daw yung gumagamit ng cellphone. SOP nila na pag nasa shoot naka-off yung cellphone.

There were things that were never caught on still photos, but were captured by this moving video. We made a misalette for the priest and I've found out that we forgot to take off the price tag of the folder his using. Kakahiya, nakita sa video hahaha. And no matter how I've tried, hindi naitago yung baby fats around my neck (shocks kakahiya!). And when we're doing the first dance as a couple, we've found out that our pace was a little bit faster than the song itself. Hahaha! Mukha pala kaming clown nun hahaha! Super bungisngis pala ako nung wedding day namin. There's no moment na nakasimangot ako... parang high ako na di maintindihan. Tawa ng tawa. And my voice is different when I'm talking on the mic. Hay o hay bat ganun? Hahaha!

Again, I've watched how my Dad delivered his speech and made me cry again for the second time. And also my father-in-law's speech to us was again another tear-jerking one. I cried again not because of the speech but on how my husband cried with it. It's so touching ... I don't like men crying because it makes me cry as well. Besides that, our dear friend Allan, who was our emcee that time left a very good message for us and our guest. Let me share to you an excerpt of his speech.

"I've know Jason since highschool and Sheryl for quite sometime now. And this two are the happiest people ... one of the happiest people I've known. So I'm sure that this relationship will go on forever because they are meant for each other. A lot of times sabi ng mga magulang natin, yung mga nauna sa atin, yung mga mas matanda sa atin ang sinasabi that one of the secret to a happy marriage is to laugh it out ... have a good sense of humor. And both of you have that... you are so lucky to have so much love around you..."

So the verdict ... I give Dan Pamintuan a 9 (rating of 1-10). Bakit 9, kasi sabi niya in 5 months time makukuha ko na yung finished product. Actually di pa kumpleto, to follow pa yung raw footages ... on the way na ata... hay o hay! Tagal joke! Now, I can say I'm another happy Dan Pamintuan bride :) It's worth the wait.

PCOS

According to Medifocus Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) also known as Stein-Leventhal syndrome or functional ovarian hyperandrogenism, is a complex endocrine disorder associated with a long-term lack of ovulation (anovulation) and an excess of androgens (male hormones, e.g., testosterone).

The disorder is characterized by the formation of eight or more follicular cysts of 10 mm or smaller in the ovaries, a process related to the ovary's failure to release an egg (ovum). PCOS is one of the most frequent causes of infertility.

I had it eversince, my first OB didn't see this all along. And I'm glad I made the right decision on changing my OB. This is the reason why we're having a hard time to get pregnant. Right now I'm on medication. I'm taking Metformin 500 mg 3 times a day. Know side effects of this medicine is dizziness, nauseous, drowsiness and headache. My OB said that I could take Metformin even hindi pa ako kumakain. Pero sa akin, it doesn't work. Saka I do sweat a lot... isa daw sa symptoms yun na I'm having low blood sugar. Sabi ni Kuya Jade and OB, just take a glass of Coke to normalize my blood sugar. It really works sometimes.

And since I'm on treatment, hubby is taking Korgivit-E 3 times a day to normalize the motility of his sperm cells.

And OB also told me to try again to lose some weight ... easier said than done ... I'm really having a hard time losing weight. And eto pa, because of Metformin, super dalas ako mag-weewee na super nadedehydrate ang skin ko. My derma told me to moisturize and take lots of fluids. Pag nafi-feel ko na daw na natutuyo na lalamunan ko, drink a glass of water agad. I have atopic dermatitis (excessive dryness of the skin) and I'm allergic to my own sweat ... so how can I go on a working out in a gym when after that my body is all red and itchy because of my sweat? waaaaaaahhhh! Ang hirap no?

Buti nalang I'm a SAHW ... if ever I'm working... siguro dumadami na ang leave ko dahil hindi na ako makapagtrabaho because of my treatment. As you can see, gagawin ko ang lahat magkaanak lang kami.

The Lazy Bug strikes again!

Sorry guys for not updating much ... been so lazy this past few days. Maybe because of my recent medication. I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 weeks ago. This week my OB changed my dosage of Metformin from twice a day to thrice a day. I feel too nauseous and super nahihilo talaga.

I'll try to blog as mush as possible. Please bear with me :) mwah!

Matapobre Ba o Nagpapakatotoo lang?

Have you heard about Malu Fernandez's article? It's spreading rapidly on the web. You might be wondering what it is all about? Well, you gotta read this. Actually I've read all about it through Wella's blog. While I was reading it, I could feel my blood pressure rising a little bit. Nakakairita kasi. Ok enough suspense ... if you still want to read about it, I got a link from a friend's email to me about this article. It's all HERE. Sa mga buntis... wag nyo na basahin... I don't want to cause any stress to you and your baby. Seriously...

Tapos na? So how do you feel about that? Here's mine ...

I'm sure by now, she's all smiling and laughing her hearts out. Feeling sikat siya ... Just like what happened to Wendy ... the PBB Season 2 b!tch! Well, all I can say to her is mag-ingat siya ... naranasan mo na ba makaladkad pababa sa escalator? Nakatali ka at hinihila ka pababa pero yung humihila sa iyo nasa baba, tapos yung direction nung escalator is going up?

O naranasan mo na rin bang talupan ka ng buhay tapos ibabad ka sa isang drum ng pure calamansi extract without the sugar? At least you'll never have problems on taking Vitamin C anymore.

I'm telling you ... you're not that smart, sosy and mabango as you think. If you and your friends thought that what you've written is funny ... well KAYO YUN, not me! Sino ba mga friends mo? Mga elitista din di ba? So ano ba naranasang hirap nun sa buhay? Wala!!!

I'm not as articulate as you are, not as rich as you or anybody else. But I love how my parents brought me up. I'm sure they didn't brought you up like that. Talagang matapobre ka!

A piece of advice ... since you have the money to buy expensive stuffs like LV and Jo Malone ... you probably have a lot of money para magpa-Liposuction. I'm not insulting you ... I wanted you to appreciate the beach. If you have a body to flaunt, might as well you'll gonna love Boracay. I don't have a sexy, gorgeous body ... actually I'm fat... but not as fat as you are... but I love the beach. If I have your money, I might do everything to get the body that I wanted. Too bad, I don't have that kind of money but I'm still happy.

And another thing ... REAL rich people are humble and down to earth ... astang biglang yaman ka. Saka obvious pala na mayaman ka ... kasi you're ... BIG! *wink*

Hehehe guys nainis ba kayo? Sorry ha, di ko sinasadya. Kasalanan ni Malu Fernandez yan hahaha! Who cares kung mabasa niya to ... It's my blog... and I'll say what I want to. Sorry ka nalang beh!

I love to hear what Thet would say about this post? Care enough to b!tch back? hehehe!

Doing What's Right

I've been married for 8 months now and having a new chapter in my life. I don't want things to go on with some heartaches that hasn't been healed. I don't want to keep the burden anymore ... I want to set myself free from all the pain.

I wrote a sorry letter to a friend whom I haven't spoken to in years. To make the very long story short, I've hurt her with the words I uttered to her before. You don't have to ask who was right and who was wrong, but the thing is I've hurt her in a way. Whatever her reply is, I'll share to you the outcome. All I need to do now is wait, wait until she's ready to forgive and forget just like what I did.

And also I started to speak to a friend whom I took for granted in a while. He's having the time of his life abroad. Earning lots and lots of money, going to a lot of places where a normal person like me don't usually do. Bought a brand new SUV for his Dad and Mom which a lot of children don't do or can't do. So maybe I thought he doesn't need me so I stopped sending emails, asking him how he is ... I know he's one happy man. But when I get to bumped into him through Friendster, he told me that he misses talking to me. So I figure it out, that maybe I should start talking to him again. You know how hard working in abroad di ba? So I told him, from now on I'll be sending him emails again.

There were a lot of people whom I wanted to talk to. But I'm taking one step at a time. I know it's hard magpakumbaba pero that's how my parents brought me up.

Buffalo Wings

This is a request from Heidi. As my birthday gift to her, I'm sharing this recipe I got from AllRecipes.com. Actually, I've added some ingredients into it to make it more Filipino (you know, the tamis-anghang taste) and the preparation is quite a little different. Hope you try it ... this is good! And Heidi, hope you enjoy your birthday with this one.

BUFFALO WINGS

INGREDIENTS:
oil for deep frying
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup hot sauce
1/4 cup Del Monte Pinoy BBQ Marinade
1 dash ground black pepper
2 tbps. McCormick (or similar) minced garlic
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 chicken wings
1 Lady's Choice Ranch Dressing for dipping

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Put the chicken wings in a pot. Add half a cup to one cup of vinegar and salt. Let it cook until it's half cooked or the liquid is almost dry. (Ano ang purpose nito? Para hindi bloody ang chicken. Have you experience eating fried chicken from a fastfood resto ... crispy from the outside, juicy and bloody on the inside ... eeewwww)
  2. Drain and let it drip for a while.
  3. In a plastic bag, mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Hold up the opening with your hand and shake/mix everything until the chicken are evenly coated. Seal and refrigerate for 60 to 90 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in pan. The oil should be just enough to cover wings entirely, an inch or so deep. Fry coated wings in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until parts of wings begin to turn brown. Set aside.
  5. Combine the butter, hot sauce, bbq marinade mix, pepper and minced garlic in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir together and heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat.
  6. Place one chicken wing at a time to the sauce mixture to coat evenly and place it to a serving dish.
  7. Place a small bowl for the ranch dressing for dipping.

Enjoy your buffalo wings! Tell me how it goes!

My First "Jamias" I.D.

My first ever Jamias I.D. hihihi! I got my Postal I.D. last Friday at Quezon City Hall.

About SSS I.D.? hehehe tamad mode pa ako lakarin eh. Actually may sakit ako ngayon. Wala akong panlasa kaya wala ako gana kumain huhuhu! Sana gumaling na ako. I can't bare not to eat my fave food. Ngayon di ko na siya ma-appreciate because my nose is stuffed for almost 2 days now huhuhu. Wag muna kayo mabubulok. Hintayin nyo ako hehehe.

My in-laws went for a visit here yesterday. Actually, I ask Kuya Jade a favor to convince my dad to have his gall stones removed ASAP. Mom prepared pinakbet, Jason prepared hinalabos na sugpo while me I cooked buffalo wings for dinner. Hindi kasi nila natikman yun nung pasko. Kaya nagluto ako para sa kanila. Well, mukha naman pumasa sa panlasa nila. Tinuruan din ako ni Kuya Jade mag-BP using a manual blood pressure equipment. Medyo nahirapan ako nung una, konting practice pa. For now, gamitin muna nila yung digital blood pressure equipment.

I've downloaded a skin for my blog. Problem is wala siyang comment box. Wish me luck hehehe.

What is your favorite kind of pie?
Softcrust pies ... I love Apple pie and Blueberry pie.

Soup
Name something that made you smile this week.
A new funky watch my mom and Jason bought me. It's a very cheap watch really, but the watch bracelets were handmade that's made of wooden beads. Something nice to wear in any occassion.

Salad
What do you do to cool off when the weather is hot and humid?
If I don't have money, I just stay at home, in our room and turn on the aircon. If I have a lot of money to spend, we go to the mall and shop crazy, buy ice cream to cool us off.

Main Course
You receive $1,000 in the mail with a letter that says you can only use the money to redecorate one room in your home. Which room do you pick, and what do you buy to spruce it up?
Since I love to cook, I might splurge all the money in my kitchen. And maybe I'll buy myself a heavy duty mixer and a nice gas range and oven too.

Dessert
Fill in the blank: My _________ says __________, but I __________.
My husband says that he'll gonna buy me my Harry Potter 7 book, but I think I'm gonna get it sooner than later.

Paradizoo

This is part of my baby bro's birthday wish. He confessed to us that he never have any memories of himself going to the zoo. Hello? taba, nung bata tayo dinadala tayo nila Mommy sa Manila Zoo no. Di bale punta nalang tayo sa Avilon Zoo sa Taytay. I know this is not close on how he pictured what a zoo like. Walang lion, tiger at elephant. Paradizoo is a zoo farm. They breed and take care of different farm animals and nurture various trees, vegetables and flowers. It's situated in Mendez, Cavite ... few minutes away from Tagaytay. Let this photos tell you our experience to our visit in Paradizoo. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Bunso!

My brother Sherlloyd a.k.a. Butchoy or Lloyd celebrated his 25th birthday last Sunday with the whole family and his girlfriend. We had an afternoon full of fun and of course a lot of eating. We celebrated it in Tagaytay. I remember whenever he celebrates his birthday laging umuulan. We celebrate it in Tagaytay. We ate at RSM Lutong Bahay, a family favorite spot for food. We ordered fried tawilis (the best!!!), binagoongang talong, ensaladang talong, sisig, ginataang bia, pork barbecue, kare-kare, bulalo, laing and fried hito. FYI, pito lang kami umubos niyan ... imagine how stuff we were. Dessert? Wala na di na kaya eh, baka mag-threw up na kami. Happy birthday bunso!

One of the reasons why we always go to Tagaytay is because of the good weather which is good for my allergies. Hindi malamig, hindi mainit. But have you tried going to Tagaytay on the month of January? Sweet! So breezy and so icy cool the wind is. It's much closer in Manila, in 2 hours you're already in Tagaytay. Another reason is that my Tito Jun bought a house and lot in Tagaytay wherein we supervise the construction and update him the status of the house. So far it's already 95% finished. Tito, kami ni Jason unang bibinyag ha? Joke! Actually, it's a family resthouse naman, hindi lang sa tito ko. Kaya we're so excited na din. Oh can't wait!

Our Wedding album

After 10 months of waiting, finally we got our wedding album. Paul texted me last Sunday (Aug. 5, 2007) that our album, blow up picture and 100 loose prints are now ready for pick up. Mas ok yung office niya ngayon kasi yung office niya before nakakahilo puntahan ... literally ... spiral staircase up to the 3rd floor! Can you imagine that?

It's placed in a hard box in a cushioned black bag. Biglang nag-flashback ang memories bigla. Ibig sabihin magaling talaga si Paul in capturing our moments. Now you can say that I'm another happy Paul Vincent bride. I love our album sobra! Ang sungit eh no?

Naku Paul, see you on our 25th wedding anniversary.

Hmmm ... yung wedding video? Kasi ako, I have no idea kung kailan niya ibibigay yun hehehe.

Identification card

I'm married to Jason for almost 10 months now, and I still haven't got any I.D. cards, not one, bearing my new surname. Why is that? I don't have a job so no company I.D. in hand. My driver's license is due on my birthday this year so I spared for a while my attempt to change my status and surname until December 2007. I didn't have the chance to apply for an SSS ID when I was still working. My kuya Stanley is going to SSS on Thursday or Friday to apply for his ID as well. Sasama ako sa kanya so that I could have my SSS ID bearing my new surname.

Today, I applied for my postal I.D. It took us two days to work on it because a slight of delay happened when we got our barangay clearance in our barangay. Problem pa, sira xerox nila, so we have to look for the nearest place to photocoy our documents. It also took another 30 minutes for the barangay captain to sign our postal I.D. form. Another factor was the rain ... kahit san kami mapunta eh umuulan huhuhu! After going to our baranggay hall, we go straight to NSO to claim our documents ... marriage certificate for me and birth certificate for my brother and his girlfriend. Anyway, since 4:00pm na umuwi na kami at resume nalang tomorrow ulit.

Kanina naayos na namin lahat ng documents. Thumbmark nalang ang kulang. As usual, naabutan nanaman kami ng lunchtime. My bad coz nagising ako ng late. I'm quite excited about this one. Oh can't wait!

On scale of 1 to 10 being highest, how polite are you?

I'm a 7

What was the last thing that made you laugh out loud?

Tell about the funniest teacher you ever had.

She's funny in terms of physical appearance. Don't get me wrong, she's a good Science teacher, but she have this dark circles around her eyes that my classmates would always tease her as Undertaker (the wrestler). No concealer would ever conceal her eyebags. I don't know how she got it. Maybe too much stress.

I strongly believe that there's nothing impossible with God.

Malunggay

I love malunggay. I really do ... kaso ang nakakainis lang sa pagluluto ng malunggay eh yung preparation. You have to get rid all the stalks para maging edible siya. Imagine mo naman kasi if you eat malunggay na di tinatanggal yung tangkay hehehe. Someone sent dad a whole native chicken already half cooked, ready to cook na kumbaga. Ilokano way of tinola does not consist of green papaya and dahon ng sili but malunggay and ampalaya. Weird ba? You should try it, its so masarap. Pero it's best cooked with native chicken only ... we've tried it using the common chicken you buy in supermarket, hindi siya ganun kasarap.

-ooOoo-

Congratulations to EJ Litiatco for giving birth to a bouncing baby boy.

-ooOoo-

I failed to watch the 1st episode of CSI Miami's new season due to unexpected reasons ... nakakainis na reason na ayoko na i-mention. Pero I'll tell you in time ... kainis no, ngayon palang pinapalabas dito sa Pinas yung new season ng CSI Miami, samantalang in other parts of the world tapos na ata siya.

Rockin Girl Blogger

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Wella left a message on my tag board and telling me to visit her site. So I did and found out that she nominated me as one of the Rockin Girl Blogger. Oh stop Wella... I'm blushing joke! Since Wella is an exception because she already voted for me, I'll tell something about how we became online buddies. We are in the same group called Weddings At Work. It's an e-group for Filipina bride-to-be forum where in we share some ideas on wedding stuffs and suppliers. It all started with an email and became a fan of her blog. Actually she's the one who inspired me to have my own blog. And there's a time she helped me on editing my blog template. I haven't met her in person, but I could say she's a true friend. You can tell her everything under the sun. She'll make you laugh on her witty replies. To know more about her ... just visit her site here.

And here are my nominees for the Rockin Girl Blogger. So I tag:

1. Bianca - ok, this girl doesn't know me, but I've been a fan of her blog way back 2004. She's a showbiz personality by the way (obviously, I'm not) and I've found out a different side of her through her blog. There were a lot of her entries that really moved me. She's so smart, kikay and so pretty.

2. Mec - just like Wella, I met her through W@W. She's really good in what she writes. Wishing someday I could be like her, writing in English fluently. Her writing skill is so amazing. I've felt the need for a dictionary whenever I pass by her blog. Some words aren't that common to my sight, and I have to read the definition of the word. Being a bookworm herself, she might have got it through reading. I remember me once when I bought this certain pocket book by Anne Rice with so many words that I have no idea what it means ... I tried to write them down on my notebook and find it on the dictionary to understand the meaning of it. Back to Mec, I love how she deals with life with style. She knows everything, she's a know-it-all girl. That's how I see her through her blog.

3. Mai - She's one of the few who inspired me on digiscrapping (digital scrapbooking). Met her on W@W as well, she's one of those people who inspired me to release those creative juices and express it through digital scrapbooking. Too bad, I'm not as artistic as her. I can only do a few, but she can do it a hundred times. Go visit her blog, she has everything on it.

4. Cheche - I love her pay-per-post blogs. Like Mai, they are very informative and at the same time, they get to be paid just by blogging. And have you seen her photos? She's one hell of a great photographer. Do we need to hear where I met this girl? Where else ... at W@W hehehe! W@Wies are bloggers as well. It's our way of sharing our wedding ideas to other bride to be. And Cheche did a great job. Although we don't have common suppliers, she helped me with some details of her wedding through her blog.

5. Thet - I met her through W@W and exchange some emails before I stumbled into her blog. This girl rocks! Hehehe ... She's so outspoken, she doesn't care what other people would say, she just let it out. She's hard on the outside but soft on the inside. Family is always first on her list. She hates being mushy but if she did end up like that ... not bad... keep trying hehehe! Just kidding girl :)
