I need to go home

I texted Dad, Mom and Jason that I'll be coming home this weekend. I'm having problems with my allergies. FYI: I have atopic dermatitis. I need to see Dra. Sandejas (my dermatologist). Definitely she knows what to do. Eversince I got here in Laoag, my skin got confused with its environment. The air is very salty (sea breeze, I mean) that's why every night I can't sleep without the aircon on. Maybe this this time I can convince my mom and dad that I should resign or else, until my Wedding day, I would be eaten up with these allergies. waaaaahhh!

Good thing some of my entourage will gonna get their measurement this Saturday. Jason texted me to assist them since he has work that day (sa construction, ang sweldo is every Saturday). Medyo madami sila ngayon ha, Mother-in-law to be, my 3 Secondary Sponsors and 2 bridesmaid sa side niya ang pupunta. Saka yung MOH ko didn't like her gown design, aapila kami kay Jun Ricaforte about it hehehe.

I went bloghopping 2 days ago and I saw Mai (ni Paul)'s wedsite. I saw the M&Ms candies that were a gift to them. It has their name and their motiff with it. I went to the M&Ms site and did my own design. And voila here it is ... now how can I tell my 3 tita's and tito to get some for me? hahahaha! I'll do everything to get their attention hihihihi! I'm sure my guest will love this M&Ms especially my dear Dad who's a chocoholic too.

Went to the BPI at 11:00 to pay our Discovery Weekend slot. At least nakabayad na kami. Whoopeee! Ms. Lala will email nalang daw the details of the 3 day activity. I'm so excited. I wish there's some W@Wies who had their DW's sched same date with us.:)

Jason was in Gateway, Cubao... called me an hour ago. He said our rings are ready for pick up. Sinukat niya yung ring niya, and super duper ok sa alright naman yung ring niya. Ewan ko sa akin. He'll take a picture daw bago siya umuwi mamaya, punta kasi siya sa Quiapo, dun kasi yung isang project niya eh. :) Isn't he excited? hihihi!

And here's my DIY Misalette. I'm not planning on a theme talaga. Nilagay ko lang yan sa front and back cover kasi ang cute. The text inside I used Comic Sans MS. I got this cute cliparts from the Precious Moment site. Tapos I used paper twine in Turquiose to bind them. Ready for approval na to. :) But still I'm wondering where to put our own wedding vows here.

Updates!

After all the issues between us and my parents, naging ok na kami. Jason got the chance to talk to dad. We already told him about the situation and dad understood it well. Pamamanhikan is scheduled on the 18th of June. Father's day yun :)

Finally, I've met Mr. Jun Ricaforte of I Do Bridal Collections. In fairness, gwapo siya ha. And my mom love him agad. When he saw me, he knew already what to design for my gown. Sabi nya I need to look tall and look thin. I don't know how to describe it but it looks similar to this picture. Before I imagined myself wearing a strapless gown. But with the way he does the sketches, I just felt that I have to give my full trust with Jun. It looks beautiful. Ist fitting ko na sa June 17.

He already did sketch mom's gown. Sa sobrang tuwa ni Mom, she called Dad just to ask if she can also have her gown made with Jun for June 10. Mr. Jun talaga is so mabait, and part of the freebies is accesories from All About Beads. I love his free bags that goes wid the gowns. My shoes also is free, so I don't need to worry about it anymore.

Sunday, we went to Mcdonalds West Ave. to meet the ever famous Paul Vincent to discuss our package and make the downpayment. I also met Ivy, his ever famous wife na super bait. Medyo makwela and makwento din si Paul kaya all throughout the meeting, tawa kami ng tawa. And he's open to ideas para mapaganda ung shoot namin. Well gonna have our prenup baka by September pa. To the two couples (fellow w@wies din ata I think) hello to both of you. Sorry nagmamadali na kami ni Jason to introduce ourselves.

After the meeting, diretso agad kami to watch Da Vinci Code. There we met our friends, Richel, Jaja, Jors, Red, and Ella. Only five of us watched the movie, the other two may skeds sila to watch it. Pero may 2 hours of bonding naman kami before watching the movei. Pig out kami sa Wendy's, tapo Jors treat me for Nachos in Taco Bell. Yum yum grabe! Miss this guys already. At ngayon eto ... nakita ko na sila ... si Ella (the one in pink) is going to Dubai na in June (she should be one of my Secondary Sponsors sana) naiyak siya nung pauwi na kami kasi di na akmi magkikita. By the time umuwi ako for Manila, baka nasa Dubai na siya. Ah too bad... ayoko sa lahat may umaalis lalo na pag close sa akin. She's one of the best friends I have kaya nalungkot din ako.

Monday, before we went to my dentist, Mr. Bojo of Velvet Mood went to our house. To discuss the songs to be played on our wedding day. What I like about them is that they are very honest, if they can play that certain song you like or not. I've heard their sampler CD already and I'm impressed with their music. Kaya I already paid the downpayment.

Then we went to Gateway mall, to meet the very controversial Dan Pamintuan ... bakit controversial? Hahaha long story yun. Nung una kami magkita ask agad niya "She, gusto mo ba talaga na ako ang magiging videographer mo sa wedding nyo?" Hahahaha natawa ako kasi parang nakakaawa yung pagkakasabi niya. Then we're starting to conceptualize our AVP na. Excited daw siya to make our AVP kasi pareho daw kami architect. Hindi naman niya in-explain further kung bakit. Then he's asking stuffs like, can he make an interview with my parents and Jason's parents for the AVP... some friends daw mga ganun. Then I should provide him 6 quotes na favorite daw namin ni Jason mga ganun ... hay pati tuloy ako na-eexcite hahahaha!

Oh well, there goes my accomplishments. So far HMUA nalang ang wala ako ... saka souvenirs ... hay o hay ...

Kasi before, we only get to go to Baguio pag Panagbenga lang. We had a lot of pics pero chosen ones nalang tong mga i-popost ko. hehehe! Sarap din ng food, additional fats to get rid again... tsk!

Vent out lang ha!

Minsan, I can't help it na sumama ang loob sa e-groups ng Weddings @ Work. Pag mahaba ang post ko, I do it in PM. I know sa e-groups na yun, ang main purpose is to share views, opinions, recommends suppliers etc. In fairness, big help talaga ang Weddings @ Work e-groups. Sobrang dami ng ideas, as in. Hindi sila nauubusan. Hindi na nga ako nag-hire ng coordinator. Feedbacks lang from fellow W@wies and time management, isama na ang budget, you can make your dream weddings come true. To those persons na nagrereply sa mga post ko, I appreciate every word you said. And super malapit kayo sa puso ko as in. Hay o hay! For those people who make comments on my blog, super thanks na rin ... :) oh well ...

  2. Windmills and Rainforest - paid 50% DP
  3. Paul Vincent Photography - paid reservation fee, di pa kami nagkikita ni Paul as in ... kaya nga kinukulit ko na si h2b eh. We haven't finalized what package to get.
  4. Flowers - Flora@eleven_01 - just signed the contract last tuesday and paid the DP
  5. Cakes - Sugarbox - booked her last Tuesday, paid the 50% DP already. Already done with the cake design ... finalization 3 days before the wedding day. I love sugarbox hehehe!
  6. Rings - Suarez Wedding Rings - paid the downpayment, rings are done on May 27 and ready for pick up.
  7. DIY Kissing Bells - bought the materials in Ilaya, Divisoria for 9 pesos. then yung mga decors we bought in Wellmanson.
  8. DIY Ceremonial Cord - My cousin and maid of honor did this for me.
  9. DIY Pen decor - She also did the bead accent for our pens ... photos to follow.
What we did eh we bought chopsticks tapos nilagyan niya uly the bead accent ... tapos sa chopstick naka-wrap yung wishes ... basta ganun siya ...
  11. Arrhae - given by my Tita from California ... 13 gold dollar coins.
  12. Shell Jewelry Box - i haven't seen this jewelry box pero my friend Jors bought me two for my rings and arrhae.
  13. Gown designs - done already, problem ... gownmaker!
  14. Maps for the invites - with revisions pa
  15. Emcee/Singers - friends
  16. Songs for the wedding - 50% done ... lapit na matapos compilation namin hehehe.

Need to be done:

  1. Gownmaker - I've done a lot of scouting, but surely entou gowns will be done by Willie So of Maning's Lace. For my bridal gown, I'm still deciding to get The Bridal Factory or Sabella kasi suki na si mom sa Sabella baka makakuha ng discount. My cousin naman ask me to try Bert Balingit, kaso wala naman ako makuhang feedbacks sa W@W so maybe di siya ganun ka-sikat. Pero I'll try na rin. Dapat na ba ako magpanic? waaaahhhh!
  2. Barongs - sa Tesoro's sila magpapagawa... kahit a month before the wedding nalang daw sila magpapagawa nila h2b.
Saka we went there nung Monday kaso wala na sila sample nung invites.
  4. Souvenirs - Haven't finalized yet what souvenirs I wanted for my wedding. I'm letting my tita decide about it since gift nya sa akin yun, pero gusto niya ako daw mag-decide hehehe.
  5. DW - sa July pa kami naka-sched.
  6. Documents - to early pa ...baka August pa to.
I scouted a lot of HMUA that are reasonable naman sa budget, pero ang problem kailan magpapa-trial make up. Kaya di ako maka-decide.
  8. Bridal Car - gusto sana namin vintage car, kaso ang mahal ...ranging from 10k up kaya we're thinking of other options nalang.
  9. Music - sa church lang sana ako kukuha ng quartet para maganda yung sa ceremony di ba? kaso I don't know kung sino kukunin na mura lang... 10k below sana...may alam ba kayo?
  10. Hotel Preps - Hotel Rembrandt siguro ...start na si dad magpareserve kasi yung mga cousins ko from US dadating so dun din sila iha-house... kaya kailangan na talaga magpareserve.
  11. Party Poppers - forgot to buy sa Divi huhuhu I'm so bad...

DIY corner

My cousin and MOH, Bing, made our ceremonial cord. Ang galing di ba? We bought everything from Wellmanson. The accent for the kissing bells was her idea and I helped also in doing this. Isn't she amazing? Any comments whatsoever? hihihi!

Meet Iwa

Meet Iwa, our new dog. She's a Scottish Terrier. Binigay sa amin ni Joey Generoso. He accidentally run into our dog, Max, a week ago. It's nice of him naman to say sorry and give us Iwa. Isn't she cute? My kuya texted me this morning and he told me Iwa took a bath sa batya with a salbabida. hahaha natawa ako agad, ini-imagine ko palang eh sigurdo ang cute na niya.
