Gusto ko to...

Wala kami choice but to postpone the trip. Hay sayang ... this has been our 2nd year na hindi nakapunta ng Flower Festival ng Baguio. Nag-mall nalang kami ng family ko (with Jason, and my bro's GF Coolet).

Jason and I went to Papemelroti to check out the invitations. I saw it sa website nila. Ang ganda. Simple pero maganda. And I'm hoping I could have them for my supplier ng invitations. And we also checked out some stuffs in their store for the souvenirs. Kasi sabi nng tita ko, pag di daw sila nakaisip ng souvenir na ipapadala niya sa amin 3 months before the wedding eh kami nalang daw maghanap dito tapos she'll gonna pay for it. Astig! hahaha!

I was browsing the Hello Kitty site kanina. and I found this ... wish ko lang may magbigay sa amin ni Jason nito sa wedding namin ... hahaha! (Pwede mag-request? Gusto ko Winnie the Pooh bread toaster!)

wow ... 8 months nalang ikakasal na ako! Kailangan na ba ako magpanic? Nah! Bahala na si Lord. I know hindi Niya kami pababayaan.

Twenty Steps

I'm in Manila right now because tomorrow we're all going to Baguio for the Panagbenga 2006. We missed it last year due to the menningococcemia outbreak (hope I type it right hihihi!). Jason will come with us (yahoo!) which makes it more exciting. Enough of the wedding preps for a while... we need a break hehehe!

I was bloghopping and I got to see Edrei and Randy's blogsite (a fellow w@wie). I found her last post very cute and I wanted to share it to some of you who haven't read it. Like Edrei said, di applicable sa amin ni Jason yung story. Pero I find it very cute. Hope Edrei won't mind I borrowed her post :).

Dalawampung Hakbang

Isa... Dalawa... Tatlo...

Labing-tatlo... Labin g-apat... Labing-lima...

Maligaya ka sa panahong to, alam ko. Ikaw pa, kilalang kilala na kita. Bestfriend kita eh. Mula ulo hanggang paa, kilala kita.

Dalawampu... ...

sa akin.

Happy Valentine's Day

Last Sunday, my Tita Yolanda and I talked about the souvenirs for our wedding. I told her I want something the guest could use. And she gave me a party favor from my cousin's graduation day. It's a notepad and a pen ... it's so simple yet useful and kinda cute. Actually this week we'll gonna make a prototype. And my Tita told me na sagot na daw niya yung wedding favors ko. Sa Hawaii nya gagawin since all the materials and tools she needs eh nasa bahay nila. She'll deliver it on August. super tuwa ako kay tita... di na ako mag-iisip ng kung ano-ano pa sa souvenirs namin ni Jason.

I'm celebrating Valentine's Day in Laoag for the second time around. Kakalungkot not celebrating this day with Jason. This is our last Valentine's Day as boyfriend and girlfriend. Pero ok lang, next year naman eh we'll gonna celebrate it as husband and wife na.

I'm having a hard time looking for the mp3 of the song Happy Valentine's Day by: Trina Belamide. But I can share with you the lyrics. It's not a typical love song. When I heard it, nakakaiyak siya... whoever has it please send it to me ha ... hala nag-request pa ako hehehe!

Happy Valentine's Day
by: Trina Belamide
It's Valentine's day again
Chocolates and roses, dinner by candlelight
But not for everybody
There'll be three less roses given away tonight
'Coz Jimmy's girl got on a plane
He tried to stop her from leaving but tried in vain
And he'd hand her three roses now
But she lives so far away
To a lonely heart, how does one say
Happy Valentine's Day
It's valentine's Day again
Long-time lovers lighting the fire once more
But it's gonna be cold tonight
For someone whose lover walked right out the door
See, Anna's fighting back the tears
Broke up with her beau for nine long years
And she's throwing her dreams of walking down the aisle away
To a broken heart, how does one say
Happy Valentine's Day
Cruel, oh so cruel
Be with your lover and be glad
And if you're without a lover
Well, that's just too bad
Cruel, oh so cruel
No other day like this
Can make you long so much
For the one you miss
It's Valentine's day again
Jay's got the flowers, but somehow it's not the same
Though April's happy
'Coz all he can do is set them on her grave
It's been two years since she passed on
But somehow the pain still lingers on
And no other day can magnify it like this day
To a grieving heart, how does one say
Happy Valentine's Day
How do you say
Happy Valentine's day

Proper Techniques for Carrying Your Bridal Bouquet

Kristine, A fellow w@wie, shared this very interesting article ..

Proper Techniques for Carrying Your Bridal Bouquet
On your wedding day, you'll be the center of attention. As you walk down the aisle on the most important walk of your life, all eyes will be fixed upon you. Of course you want to be an elegant bride who makes a smooth entrance and gracefully glides down the aisle without looking uncomfortable, feeling awkward, or dropping your bouquet.

To feel confident and self-assured, you'll want to make sure you are holding and carrying your bouquet appropriately. Not every bouquet is carried the same way. Typically, the type of bouquet and features of your gown will determine the way your bouquet should be carried.

Round, heart, cascade, and crescent bouquets are normally held and carried in front. These types of bouquets should be low enough to reveal the details on the neckline and bodice of your gown and are held with both hands as if your arms are resting on your hips. Although the natural tendency when excited or nervous is to bring the bouquet to your waist, chest, or even higher, try to avoid this so your arms are not held in an awkward, uncomfortably position and so everyone can see the beautiful details of your gown.

Small, lightweight and delicate bouquets, such as nosegays, clutch bouquets, or single blossoms, can be carried to your side with one hand and are generally held at the same level as a bouquet held in front. If your nosegay is mounted in an elaborate or family heirloom tussy mussy (a small, Victorian style, metal or glass, cone-shaped holder), you may choose to proudly display it by holding and carrying your bouquet in the front instead of the side. If you choose a tussy mussy holder for your bouquet, you'll notice that there is generally only enough room to hold it securely with one hand. For proper positioning, carry the tussy mussy upwards in your hand with your forearm bent slightly so it is horizontal (parallel to the floor) while your elbow rests comfortably on your hip.

Floral pomanders (bloom-covered balls or cones suspended from a ribbon) can be carried to the side in the same manner as a nosegay or in front in the same manner as a round bouquet. Typically, adult attendants carry pomanders to the side with one hand while children carry them in the front with both hands.

Arm bouquets feature long floral stems and should rest naturally and comfortably across the inner bend of your elbow so that the bouquet is cradled in your arms with the blossom end of the flowers facing away from your body. This holding and carrying technique is not only comfortable, but it also allows guests on one side to see the open blossoms as you walk down the aisle and guests on the other side to see the open blossoms as you walk back up the aisle.

Specialty bouquets such as fans, baskets, and prayer books should be carried according to their size and proportion. Smaller specialty bouquets can be carried to either your front or side, while larger baskets should be carried down and to your side.

Whatever style you choose, it's always best to hold and carry your bouquet in the most appropriate and natural way. You will not only look regal and confident as you walk down the aisle, but you will also avoid disappointment with your wedding portraits by ensuring that all photographs capture you holding your bouquet comfortably without raising it too high and covering portions of your neck, face, or the exquisite details of your gown.

Our Arrhae

My tita Yolanda arrived last Friday from Hawaii. She gave me an envelope (well sealed!) from my tita Evelyn in California. When I opened it, it was 13 gold dollar coins. whoopeee may arrhae na kami ... I love them so much grabe.

And eto pa, may Chronicles of Narnia book set pa ako from my Tito Junior in Pennsylvania.

Kirsten's Gown

My friend kuya Rommel got a picture of Kirsten Dunst wearing the gown I wanted ... kaso back view hahaha ... sabi ko nga sa kanya "Kuya, kailangan mahanap natin yung front view nung gown, yung likod lang magagawa niyan sa gown ko sige ka," pinasaya niya ako talaga in a way. He knows that I'm sad ... kaya naghanap siya ng picture na yun.

I had a slice of carrot cake for merienda ... may nanlibre kasi sa mga boss sa DPWH eh. sarap ... hahaha! nakalimutan ko nanaman diet ko.

I'm sad ...

First thing in the morning as I turned on my computer in the office I read emails from W@W. And I felt bad when I read an email from a fellow w@wie, that she copied Kirsten Dunst wedding gown in Spiderman II for her wedding gown. Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh, that's the exact wedding gown I wanted for myself. I didn't know that small detail in the movie would catch her eyes, too. And by the time Jason proposed to me, I envisioned myself wearing the same gown. Sa sobrang lungkot ko, I replied to her post ... I hope I didn't offended her. Kasi I told her if I can wear the same gown as hers ... kasi it was my idea, too ... to have my gown to be copied like Kirsten Dunst gown ... nauna lang siyang ikakasal sa akin. Ako October, siya sa April na. Hay ... ang babaw ko pero nalungkot ako as in. Pero its not a big deal anyway... Nalungkot lang ako ... :(

Rainy days sometimes makes me sad... tsk!

Sharing our Save The Date Cards

I just finish a few of our DIY Save The Date cards last night. Konti palang nagawa ko kasi I accidentally left the paper na gagamitin for the STD's sa Manila nung nag-vacation ako dun. We have two designs for our STD's, one was for the Principal Sponsors, which I got the idea from Kate (ni Cents), a fellow w@wie... and one for our friends and relatives. Kasama niyang dadating yung paper hehehe. I just made it so simple, put ribbons with our color motiff on it. Then ilalagay sa blue envelope, pero I was thinking of DIY din yung envelopes. May nabili kasi akong material for it. Pag sinipag ako hahaha. This invites would be send out on February na.

Photo and Video

Finally, we booked Paul Vincent for our photo and video. The best na si Paul, I've seen his works talaga as in impressed ako. Jason is not much of a photo enthusiast pero nagustuhan niya works ni Paul. Saka yung rates niya nag-fit talaga sa budget namin. Wala pa kami formal meeting with Paul, by February siguro.

Worth it pala yung argument namin ni Jason nung isang gabi. hahaha! Now I can relax a bit... saka na ulit magpanic! hahahaha!
