Disappointments on Smart Broadband
For a week and 4 days now, I’m not really quite satisfied with the performance of Smart Broadband. I hope there’s somebody from Smart reading my entry today. Naiinis na kasi ako. Eto lang observation ko:
1. When its raining, you have zero connection. More worst kahit ambon lang, super hindi ka maka-connect. Susme … August to October eh rainy season. Don’t tell me lagi kami walang internet?
2. Since Saturday of Aug. 19 we’ve been experiencing this problem because of the zero connection. The customer service team on the other line tell us how to troubleshoot the connection. As if I don’t do this in Laoag. Hawak ko ang server namin dun. I told them the problem is in their signal, not our computer. I’m as calm as ever. But as day past by, still no answer from their technical team, talagang nagalit na ako sa customer service nila nun. Sabi ko kung papaulit nyo nanaman yan ipconfig na yan mag-aapply na akong troubleshooter sa Smart kasi kabisado ko na kung paano gawin eh. Super natameme yung person na nakausap ko. I told them na ang ilagay nya sa report na magpapunta na ng technical service team dito sa bahay namin para ayusin ang Canopy (antenna ng Smart WiFi) dahil may interference yung signal na binabato nila sa amin.
3. The technical crew called us after a week and they told me na they’ll be coming tomorrow to check our canopy … pero ni anino nila wala pumunta ngayon sa bahay. Ang saya nila. Hindi na nga ako lumabas ng bahay eh para talagang matutukan ko ang trabaho nila, pero asan sila? Wala?
4. 2 days down ang server nila for Yahoo and Gmail … tsk! Imagine 2 days nila ginawa? Susmiyo … ano ba naman to? Sayang naman yung binabayad namin na 999 a month kung lagi ganito.
5. Pag may connection ok siya … mabilis, nakangiti ka ng sobra-sobra … mga after 30 mins medyo bumabagal na, medyo nawawala na yung ngiti mo … after nun madidisconnect ka na nakasimangot ka na … wait ka lang ng 15mins ok nanaman pero parang paawa lang nila, para masabi na may connection ka, magkakaroon ka nga pero ang bagal naman.
6. Jason is using a dial-up connection at home. Mas masaya siya kaysa sa amin. Hahaha pang-asar di ba? Dial-up yun, we’re suppose to be more happier kasi 7x faster connection ang sa amin … oo nga 7x faster ang connection namin … wag lang uulan at totopakin. Di kami makalaro ng online game (RAN Online … the one we are addicted right now) … kasi laging lag. Hahaha nakakaloka naman tong internet namin.
7. But there are also instances that super duper sunny naman ang panahon eh wala kami connection. Meron man … mas mabagal pa sa dial up ang connection namin.
Okay … pano nila eexplain to sa tao? Kung kami lang nagkakaroon ng ganitong problema … eh di mukhang may problema nga yung location ng Canopy namin. In the first place, kung mahina talaga ang signal nila dito, dapat hindi na nila in-approve ang subscription namin and settle for Globe broadband. Or sana they told us na pag umuulan ganun po talaga ang connection, nawawala. Hahaha … while I was typing this entry. The connection is on and off. I can see it on my Gmail notifier kasi. Hahaha! Wala kasi money back gurantee yung contract eh. Is it possible na ma-terminate yung contract because of unsatisfied clients like us? I mean, kung laging ganito, di ba mas maganda ibalik nalang nila yung binayad namin, pullout nila yung canopy nila and pretend it never happened. I’m consulting Jason’s sister about this. Kasi talagang nabubwisit na kami sa performance ng broadband nila. Parang mas nagustuhan ko pa yung performance ng dial-up eh.
Hay … wala lang … stress release … ok na ako … tsk!
